No cigarettes - no craving to smoke <p>According to the latest research it's quite easy to inhibit the desire to smoke If one knows that there are no cigarettes in the house.</p> <p><b>How brain works?</b></p> <p>Tobacco addiction (as well as many other addictions) is often caused by the hyperactivity in frontal lobes. This is the very area which is linked to rationalization and self-control.</p> <p><b>What was the research work?</b></p> <p>There were 10 smokers taking part in the research. They watched some short videos with people smoking a lot. One half of testees was told that they would smoke after watching, while another one was warned that cigarettes would be unavailable for them in next 4 hours.</p> <p>In the course of watching all the participants underwent brain MRT.
