Smoking became symbol of developing country
80 % of smokers from entire world are from developing countries. World Health Organization warns: of governments of these countries will not take urgent measures, during several decades will die prematurely up to billion people.
Tobacco Companies, but the biggest manufacturers are USA and China, losing profits on West where are successfully undertaken measures against smoking, have reoriented to Asian and Latin-American markets. The largest productions of trans-national Companies are already located in India, China and Indonesia. For these countries fall two thirds of all workers in tobacco industry.
At he same time in these countries is made mass advertising campaign the goal of which is to make as more tobacco addicted people as possible. In Uruguay interrogation showed that more than one third of 13 years old teenagers tried smoking.
One of the most successful examples of measures against smoking show United Arab Emirates Measures recommended by World Trade Organization were introduced there just few years ago: was prohibited smoking in public places, for infringing this rule people are penalized for large amounts and price for cigarettes were increased significantly. As result tobacco consumption has decreased more than by 15 %. Similar situation is noticed in many developed countries.
In these countries were created serious programs and these programs work on system bases not during one year and not even 10 years, but several decades. Gradually, work is made with every man in person and generally with big groups of people.
Every year volumes of smoking in developed countries shorten approximately by 1 % per year. In developing countries they grow by 3-5 %. Already now according to World Health Organization estimations, 80 % out of 1 billion 700 million smokers live namely in developing countries that very soon will become the largest tobacco distribution markets.
