Smoking ban in Saudi Arabia
Minister for Internal Affairs, Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz has declared that Saudi Arabia starts realization of royal decree that supposes smoking ban in public places: state institutions, in most commercial organizations, including restaurants, supermarkets and trade centers. It applies to shisha smoking as well.
"This decree is important step applied by authority efforts aimed on reducing quantity of smoking population in Saudi Arabia. By supporting such initiatives we tend to improve national health on territory of entire kingdom", - Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, ambassador of Saudi Arabia in USA said.
For the last few years Saudi Arabia has realized number of anti-tobacco measures, including smoking ban in airports.
